AS YOU LIKE IT UNREHEARSED is coming April 19, and that has us wondering: where are 2016’s most fashionable places to get banished?
KAELEA ROVINSKY first joined Unrehearsed in Titus Andronicus last year. She’ll be at iO April 18th performing in “La-Di-Dah,” a long-form musical improv (in the iO Jason Chin Harold Cabaret, 10:30pm). She’ll also be joining Unrehearsed for Two Pence Theatre’s [Thus Die I] on April 23rd, celebrating Shakespeare’s 400th Death-aversary. That’s a spicy April.
But more importantly:
Q: If you were banished by your dukely uncle, to where would you flee?
KAELEA: I get to CHOOSE?!? Finland. 100%. Lakes. Mountains. Castles. Birthplace of Apocalyptica.
Q: What was your most recent journey?
KAELEA: I have a penchant for losing myself on long walks. The last time I had a free day, I wandered from the Roosevelt Theatre Building to Evanston. Nothing interesting happened.
Q: If you were banished into the Forest of Arden, what three things would you bring with you and why?
KAELEA: Water filtration system. Food. Clothes. Because, logic.
Q: There are lots of people in the Forest of Arden: Lovers, Wrestlers, Shepherds, Nobles, Clowns, Cross-dressers, and Real Estate Enthusiasts. How would you fit in? Which of these would you be?
KAELEA: I would be a hermit, for sure. The other inhabitants of the forest would misread my eccentric introversion and think me a witch. Really, I would just be a lady, chilling and drinking rancid wine.
